TransAqua Celebrates 20 Years of Composting with 2025 Open House

RIVERVIEW, N.B. – TransAqua, the Greater Moncton Wastewater Commission, is inviting the public to its 2025 Compost Facility Open House on Saturday, June 21, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the compost facility located at 399 Delong Drive, Moncton.

This year marks a major milestone for TransAqua: 20 years of transforming biosolids into high-quality compost, contributing to the circular economy and supporting environmental sustainability. Since 2005, TransAqua has diverted biosolids from disposal and reused them to produce nutrient-rich compost—certified Category A by the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME), the highest compost standard in Canada.
