Éric resides in Moncton with his wife Francine and daughter Sophie. He is a retired fire fighter having served the City of Moncton for 36 years. He retired as Fire Chief and Director of Emergency Planning. 

Éric is fluently bilingual and holds two degrees from Université de Moncton (Bachelor of Business Administration and an MBA). He also is a graduate of Royal Roads University holding a Masters of Arts in Disaster and Emergency Management. 

Éric loves to travel and discover new places. He is a season ticket holder for the Moncton Wildcats and enjoys reading.
